JoJo Siwa once confessed that she tried to start a romance with Australian Robert Irwin.
The American singer, 20, who is part of the LGBTQ+ community, revealed in a resurfaced 2020 interview with Stav, Abby and Matt from B105slipped into the conservationist’s direct messages.
She said at the time that she was “really interested” in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! presenter, who is now 20 years old, but she quickly lost interest when she took too long to respond to him.
Radio host Abby Coleman told listeners Wednesday morning that she recalled the interview she had with JoJo in 2020 and then played a segment of it.
“I was messaging Robert Irwin because I had a bit of a crush,” the Brisbane media star, 42, told listeners.
In the resurfaced audio, JoJo said of Robert: ‘There was a moment where I thought, ‘Wow, he’s really cute!’ I really liked him!’
Unfortunately, it seems JoJo’s love was unrequited, as she later revealed: “So she finally responded to a DM and I was like, ‘Okay, I’m over it.’
Robert recently split from his girlfriend of two years, Rorie Buckey, in February, and the couple made the shocking announcement in a joint statement on Instagram.

“We wanted to share that we have decided to go our separate ways, but we deeply appreciate all the time we spent together and wish each other the best for the future,” the statement read.
Robert and Rorie, 19, were believed to have been dating since November 2022, but became Instagram official in August 2023.
Before that, the couple made their red carpet debut at the Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One premiere in Sydney.

The duo were last seen together looking loved-up as they left Melbourne after their Australian Open appearance.
Meanwhile, JoJo previously dated TikToker Avery Cyrus and Kylie Prew, whom she met on a cruise in 2020.
The Dance Mums star revealed last year that he realized he was “gay at Disney World” during a two-week holiday there with Kylie and her brother Jayden.
While they had fun riding fun rollercoasters and spending quality time together, the Boomerang hitmaker said she “realized” she had romantic feelings for Kylie.
