Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly caused a stir among holidaying Brits on Wednesday when they were spotted splashing around at a budget family resort in Mallorca.
The sudden appearance of the TV presenting duo, both 48, in beachwear at the Protur Bonaire Hotel in Cala Bona caused excitement to spread like wildfire among the guests.
Dozens of people flocked to the pool area to catch the celebrity’s unexpected appearance, with many surprised that the billionaire couple decided to book into a relatively affordable resort.
But while it wasn’t a publicity stunt for The Saturday Night Takeaway, as some suspected, it soon turned out there was an explanation.
In fact, the couple was filming a TV commercial for TUI Vacations, a regular user of Protur Bonaire.

Ant and Dec spent several hours doing photo shoots around the sprawling resort in the east of the island.
Their arrival caused such a stir that guests had to be warned that the television personalities would not have time to pose for individual photographs.
But Ant and Dec waved to families who had gathered around the pool to greet them and high-fived children who came over to watch.
Tourist Samantha McAdams witnessed the spectacle and told MailOnline: “Everyone was so excited to see them. They came on a bus from Palma airport to the hotel.
‘We first saw them at lunchtime. We were sitting by the pool and they passed by at around 1:30 p.m.
“Soon everyone found out and started waiting outside the apartment to see them. It turned out that they were filming an advert for TUI.
‘They greeted everyone at the pool and went into a private apartment to film some stuff.
‘The production crew told us they wouldn’t have time to take individual photos with everyone, but when they came out they greeted everyone and high-fived all the kids.’

Sam, 39, enthused: “They were brilliant, exactly like you see on TV. They spoke to each of the children and smiled all day.”
The Belfast fashion store manager is on holiday with her banker husband David McAdams, 37, and their two children, Cohen, six, and Summer, five.
She continued: ‘After they left the apartment, they hopped on a golf cart and drove around the resort with some guests and asked them what they liked about the hotel, what food they liked, etc.
“They stayed until 4pm and then left. They must have been exhausted.”
