Viewers of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway said they would have “nightmares” after Saturday’s show.
The Geordie duo, both 48, donned paint and caps to join the Blue Man Group on stage for the finale, only for fans to brand their transformation “creepy”.
While Ant was slathered in orange body paint, Dec opted for green, with some fans comparing him to Jim Carey in the 1994 film The Mask, as they performed with the iconic blue musical group.
X spectators said: ‘Does anyone find these a bit creepy blue men? this Blue Man group? nonsense!’: ‘It feels like a fever dream.’
It comes just a week after viewers declared they would report the ITV show to Ofcom.

The Geordie duo, both 48, donned paint and caps to join the Blue Man Group on stage for the finale, only for fans to brand their transformation “creepy”.
Fans at home angered Ant and Dec after Cat Deeley made the duo act out a children’s story and served them tofu sauce on their porridge for a segment of the show.
She made an appearance on the show with a plan to seek revenge against the presenting couple for a prank they pulled on her years before.
The This Morning presenter, 47, announced she was going to read a gruesome bedtime story, which Ant and Dec would have to act out in real time.
As part of the story, the duo dressed as monsters had to feed each other spoiled porridge with “fermented tofu sauce.”
But viewers were unimpressed by the food joke, with one taking to social media to say: “Why do you waste perfectly good food, when there are so many struggling to feed themselves and their families, disgusting # Shameful #itv #ofcom?”
Another wrote: ‘Sorry I’ve gone too far with wasting food, even if it’s expired. I wonder how many are watching this eating food from a food bank!!!’
Cat made a glamorous entrance in a black beaded minidress with one sleeve removed and another puffed to dominate the couple, while holding the book of ‘scary stories’ in her hands.
Ant and Dec were then forced to dress up as their hilarious monster alter-egos Anty and Decky, and then the duo brought to life everything Cat said as she narrated the story.
While Ant was slathered in orange body paint, Dec opted for green, with some fans comparing him to Jim Carey in the 1994 film The Mask, as they performed with the iconic blue musical group.
Ant (L) and Dec (R) looked unrecognizable in their costumes.
Spectators rushed to social media after the performance.
While Ant became a furry purple cyclops, Dec also became a furry brown monster with peculiar orange hair.
And as the This Morning star continued with his terrifying plan, the presenting pair suffered a hilarious “electric shock” to the bottom, leaving the audience bursting into uncontrollable laughter.
‘Suddenly, the weather took an unpleasant turn. It can be like that in dark and dreary Newcastle, and poor Anty and Decky were struck by lightning,” he said, pressing a button next to her.
Last week, viewers were furious after Cat Deeley made the duo act out a children’s story and put tofu sauce on their porridge during a segment and “wasted” food.
Terrified Decky exclaimed pleadingly, ‘Cat, no, don’t press that!’, before another bolt of lightning struck them once more.
The former Good Morning Britain star, 49, was spotted inside a box containing some fake birds, leaving fans laughing at the hilarious scenario.
Viewers were hysterical, with some gushing over Cat, Ant and Dec’s reunion and remembering the legendary 1998 comedy sketch SMTV Live on ITV, which featured the trio co-hosting.
