Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture have announced that Shadows of the Damned, which was released in 2011 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, will be receiving a remaster.
It was revealed in a bizarre ad display (below) that shows Grasshopper Community Manager James Mountain being attacked by the game’s protagonist Garcia Hotspur.
A release date for Shadows of the Damned: Remastered hasn’t been revealed, but the trailer promises it will be “soon.” The platforms on which the remake will be available have not been announced, but it is expected to be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series at least.
In Shadows of the Damned, players play as professional demon hunter Garcia Hotspur, a leather-clad, motorcycle-riding professional who embarks on a quest to rescue his girlfriend.
The official synopsis for the game reads: “As he explores the furthest reaches of the realm of the dead, Garcia traverses Hell, with dangers and turmoil around every corner. Players will find themselves confronting insane puzzles and engaging in harrowing battles with vile, deformed creatures that can only come from the darkest recesses of Hell. “.
