Conservative commentator Ann Coulter sparked a backlash after calling Tim Walz’s autistic son, Gus, “weird” for crying during his father’s speech at the Democratic National Convention.

Coulter, 62, spoke to X hours after Gus’ proud reaction to his father’s speech spread across social media, where he burst into tears and pointed at his dad on stage.

In another tweet responding to someone who jokingly compared getting the controversial pundit to delete a tweet to “picking up Thor’s hammer,” Coulter doubled down: “Democrats are the ones who decided it’s okay to call people ‘weird.'”

Ahead of Kamala Harris’ primetime speech to close out the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night, rumors spread that a “special guest” was set to introduce her.

But shortly after the report sparked chaos on the convention floor, a rep for Beyoncé told The Hollywood Reporter that “the report of a performance is false” and said the “Freedom” singer was never scheduled to appear.
