An enraged woman was so upset about missing her Frontier Airlines flight that she threw a computer at staff during a fight in the departure lounge.
The customer, who was quickly nicknamed “Karen” by netizens, became violent toward the Frontier Airlines check-in counter after she allegedly missed her flight out of Chicago’s O’Hare Airport last week.
In images Captured by a passerby waiting to check in at the front desk, the airport Karen quickly leaps onto the luggage scale to confront the assembled group of Frontier employees.
She then throws punches at one of the employees before another steps between her and the rest of the crowded employees.
A Frontier employee begins to pick up a blue bin (normally used to hold items scanned by security) in an apparent attempt to throw it at Karen, but was stopped by two other coworkers.
A woman threw her computer at Frontier Airlines staff after missing her flight
The customer, who was quickly nicknamed “Karen” by netizens, became violent with the Frontier Airlines front desk after she allegedly missed her flight at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport.
When the man who originally stood between her and her coworkers turned around, that’s when Karen grabbed a computer from behind the counter and threw it at him.
He then left the monitor face down on the desk before returning to the front of the check-in counter.
TikTok user Cinn (@cindyhalasova), who watched, filmed and posted the entire encounter on social media, revealed the post was removed for “violent and graphic content.”
Cinn revealed more details about the incident in the comments of a newly posted TikTok.
He said Karen was late for her flight and missed it, and took it out on Frontier Airlines employees.
Frontier pilot Seymour Walker, 45, is pictured being arrested at George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Saturday on domestic abuse charges.
“(The Chicago Police Department) took their time getting there, so they left by train, but they had her passport… she’s probably in trouble now,” Cinn said.
Meanwhile, a second incident involving Frontier Airlines saw a pilot removed from a flight at a Houston airport on assault charges.
Seymour Walker, 45, was dragged from the plane at George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Saturday night.
He was arrested shortly after the plane he was flying arrived at his gate due to an outstanding warrant for domestic violence.
No further details have been shared about Walker’s alleged crimes.
A subsequent Frontier flight was canceled because the airline was having difficulty covering its abrupt departure from its rotation.
