Angry Caitlin Clark pushes WNBA rival and argues with fan as tempers flare in crucial playoff game

Caitlin Clark briefly lost her cool as things got heated between the Indiana Fever rookie and Connecticut Sun forward DeWanna Bonner on Wednesday night.

With the Fever looking to keep their WNBA playoff hopes alive, Clark could be seen shoving Bonner before the two got into a fight as tempers flared.

The 22-year-old appeared furious that she had not been called for a potential foul in the landing zone after she went down under a challenge from the Sun star.

Clark started the angry sequence by yelling at the nearby referee for the lack of decision.

Bonner stood right near the conversation and intervened, prompting Clark to push his Sun opponent away.

Clark’s teammate Lexie Hull was quick to step in and break them up, but also exchanged a few words with Bonner.

The most intense moments in sports are common in playoff games, when every possession is on the line. That has carried over in spades to Clark, who knows his rookie season ended with a loss Wednesday night.

Bonner and Clark were starters for the WNBA team during the league’s All-Star Game in July after neither of them were named to Team USA for the Paris Olympics.

The WNBA All-Stars handed Team USA its only loss of the summer that night in Phoenix.
