Prime Video has announced that beloved smartphone game Angry Birds will be getting an all-new animated series from Amazon.
Announced today, the 24-episode Angry Birds: Mystery Island series will focus on the characters Mia, Rosie and Buddy, and there’s also a little pig named Hamylton.
“We’re excited to be working with Amazon to add a new chapter to the Hatchlings story in Angry Birds Mystery Island,” said Hanna Valkeapää-Nokkala, Rovio’s Head of Brand Licensing. “I’m sure Hatchlings fans will be excited to see them in their own series, with their voices speaking for the first time.”
The show focuses on the four children as they embark on an island journey, but are accidentally thrown onto a mysterious and unknown island. They’ll need to explore the island and unearth its secrets if they are to find their way home, and they’ll encounter strange sights and unexplained natural phenomena, all while away from home with no parents in sight.
The voice performance of the characters will be provided by Harvey Gillen, Kate Micucci, Dominic Monaghan, and Nasim Pedrad, while the date for the series has not yet been determined.
