Angelina Jolie was recently stunned by a journalist’s “crazy” question in an interview.
was asked during the 49-year-old Oscar winner’s recent interview with Sunday weatherwhere she talked about playing legendary opera singer Maria Callas in the lively biopic Maria.
Jolie is no stranger to playing real-life people on screen, having previously played the late supermodel Gia Carangi in Gia (1998) and acclaimed French journalist Mariane Pearl in A Mighty Heart (2007).
But when asked about the potential of a biopic about her illustrious career, Jolie quickly shot down the idea.
“That gets the award for craziest question,” he responded. “When you are a public person and you are interpreting (another person), you are aware that you would hate for someone to interpret your life or think that they understand your life, so we try to be reflective (with Maria).
“Let’s hope there isn’t one about my life,” he concluded.

In the same interview with The Sunday Times, the Changeling star also spoke about aging in Hollywood and whether or not it affects the roles he’s offered.
“I have a better job as I get older,” the mother of six revealed. ‘I don’t think about it in terms of the roles offered, but in terms of the life experience you bring.
And he added: “It’s easier for actors than for singers or dancers because your body doesn’t change.”
While she disagrees with Maria Callas’ fear that her power will diminish with age, Jolie admires the late singer’s “commitment” to the job.
“I’m a hard worker,” she shared. And a person with deep feelings. Mary is vulnerable because she feels and is sometimes unable to protect herself from loneliness or emotional pain. Because it is part of his life and his job to be extremely human and live that way.
‘It is lived through communication with the public. For Maria and me this has always been extremely important.’
Early in her career, Jolie was a method actress.

This intense commitment led her to briefly retire from acting, as she felt she had “nothing more to give.”
He adds: ‘As a young actor, you say yes to everything. Do you know how to ride a horse? Can you speak this language? So you have to learn.’
Jolie’s career includes an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1999 film ‘Girl, Interrupted.’
She became an international star with her portrayal of Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider film series in 2001 and 2003.
Some of his other notable films include ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith,’ ‘Wanted,’ ‘Salt,’ and ‘Maleficent.’
María was directed by Pablo Larraín, who is behind other projects such as Jackie (2016) and Spencer (2021).
Along with Jolie, other stars who have been cast in the film include Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher, Haluk Bilginer and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
In August, the biopic premiered for the first time during the 81st Venice International Film Festival, where it competed for the Golden Lion.

The film had a limited release in the United States starting November 27 and will hit Netflix on December 11.
The film’s premise is: ‘Maria Callas, the world’s greatest opera singer, lives the last days of her life in 1970s Paris, as she confronts her identity and her life,’ according to an IMDB synopsis.
Elsewhere in the interview she shared that, unlike Callas, she is not a lonely person thanks to her large family.
‘I don’t feel that way because I have a family. Maria had no family, so her job was everything. My job is not everything. Being a father is everything.’
The Maleficent actress, who has sparked Oscar buzz for her portrayal of Callas in the biopic, shares Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, as well as twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, with her ex-husband Brad. Pitt, 60 years old.
The couple married in 2014, but filed for divorce in 2016 before being declared legally single in 2019.
However, Angelina and Brad will go to trial next year amid a legal battle over their French vineyard.
Brad is noticeably estranged from his six children, and both Shiloh and Vivienne have dropped the Pitt surname.

The source went on to say that their six children only have “limited” contact with Brad’s side of the family, but a separate source close to Jolie shared a different take on the situation.
‘Angelina has not blocked any communication or relationship; rather it encourages them to stay in touch with their grandparents.’
“The children send cards and gifts to their grandparents every year for their birthdays and Christmas,” the source explained to the outlet.
