She brought her daughter Zahra to the event, where they met the president.
Jolie has always been active in political and international causes, particularly women’s issues and speaking out on behalf of refugees.
And she’ll be there to watch President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden host the second state dinner of their administration on Wednesday for South Korean President Yun Sok Yul and his wife, Kim Kyun Hee.
Guests will dress in black to dance and dine under the cherry blossoms in the East Room of the White House.

Warner Bros. won the project after a “multi-studio bidding war” for the project, according to Delivery time.
Both Jolie and Berry, 53, are set to star in and produce the project.
Roseanne Liang (Shadow in the Cloud) is directing a screenplay by Scott Mosier (Free Birds), who will both executive produce.

The project first hit the market last weekend and has attracted many suitors, though Warner Bros. won it the latest star-driven package landed by new studio executives Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdi.
While streaming services have recently won high-profile projects like this, Warner Bros. It delivered an impressive eight-figure showing that you don’t see from studios much these days, according to the report.

Although she hasn’t appeared on the big screen since 2021’s Eternals, she has a number of projects in pre-production, including Maleficent 3 and Maria, who plays legendary opera singer Maria Callas.
She is also attached to star in Every Note played by Christoph Waltz and will return as Tigress in the Kung Fu Panda 4 animated sequel.
