Angel Reese has recalled the brutal disdain Caitlin Clark received from a fan after not signing her autograph: “That white girl is better than you.”

Reese and Clark enjoyed phenomenal rookie seasons in the WNBA, and the two former college rivals began running for the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever, respectively.

However, after helping Indiana seal its first playoff berth since 2016, it was Caitlin who prevailed in her tight race for Rookie of the Year by earning the coveted award last month.

In her last episode Podcast ‘No Apologies Angel’Reese, who admitted this week that she wants to be Clark’s teammate one day, and special guest GloRilla were discussing their craziest encounters with fans when the WNBA star revealed an insult she received after forgetting to sign an autograph.

“Sometimes I’m busy, like I can’t sign everything,” she told the American rapper. “One guy said, ‘That’s why you’re not Rookie of the Year. And that white girl is better than you.”

Clark even helped her former nemesis when they teamed up on the WNBA All-Star roster to help defeat Team USA, sending social media into a frenzy.

And following her battle for Rookie of the Year, Reese has admitted that she would love to be a teammate with the Fever sensation at some point in the future.

“Caitlin and I have played against each other since we were kids,” he added in the WSJ article. “It’s just a moment of coming full circle on how women are viewed when it comes to trash talking and that’s okay in men’s sports.” So let’s normalize that in women’s sports as well. It’s just super competitive.

“I think we’re two great competitors. We brought a lot of fans to this league and I thought, let’s continue to do that and one day, hopefully, we can be teammates.”
