Angel Reese has posted another double-double performance, extending her WNBA record to 15 consecutive games as she continues to contend for Rookie of the Year honors.

The 22-year-old forward finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the Chicago Sky’s 91-76 loss to the New York Liberty on Thursday night in the Big Apple.

He grabbed his 10th rebound with just over two minutes left in the game, drawing a loud ovation from the crowd.

Reese’s 10th point put the Sky (9-13) within 78-72 with 3:51 left.

Earlier this week, controversial NBA analyst Jason Whitlock accused the league’s referees and players of corruption in order to improve Reese’s image over that of Caitlin Clark.

“Racial idolatry… Do you see people going out of their way, not in Indiana Fever, to help Caitlin Clark?” he asked.

Meanwhile, Chennedy Carter led the Sky in scoring against Liberty with 22 points on 10-of-21 shooting, while Reese was only able to convert 5 of her 17 shots overall.

Chicago jumped out to a 37-24 lead midway through the second quarter behind Carter before forward Breanna Stewart got going to pull the Liberty within 40-38 at halftime.

Stewart scored the first seven points of a 14-1 run to get New York back into the game.

Liberty star guard Sabrina Ionescu scored her first points of the game to cap the run and tie the game at 38. She had missed her first seven shots.

The 21-year-old forward struggled from the field, however, making just 5 of her 17 shots.

Before the second quarter began, New York honored many of its former players, including Ring of Honor members Kym Hampton and Sue Wicks.

The announcer left Sky coach Teresa Weatherspoon for last and her former teammates approached and harassed her after the ceremony ended.

Weatherspoon received a warm ovation from the crowd of 17,758, the largest in Liberty history at Barclays Center.

Both teams were playing the second game of a back-to-back series. The Sky beat Atlanta in Chicago on Wednesday, while New York won in Connecticut.

The two teams will play again on Saturday in Chicago.
