Just one day after hitting the Met Gala red carpet, Angel Reese returned to the court for the Chicago Sky and put on a stunning performance.

On Monday, Reese was one of many notable names to appear at the event in New York City, as she celebrated her 22nd birthday in style.

And 24 hours later, Reese starred for the Sky in a preseason victory against Liberty and scored 13 points and five rebounds for his new team.

“So now everyone can delete the drafts and tweets saying I shouldn’t have gone to the Met Gala and that I can’t do both,” she wrote. ‘I CAN DO ALL THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME.’

Reese, who also scored 13 points in his preseason debut on Sky, took a private jet to New York for the Met Gala, where this year’s theme was ‘Sleeping Beauties: The Awakening of Fashion.’

The Chicago Sky star wore 16Arlington by Marco Capaldo.

Other basketball players at the event included former NBA Dwyane Wade and oft-injured Brooklyn Nets player Ben Simmons.

In a TikTok recorded after the Met Gala, Reese wrote: “Today was a success. I was able to play the game I love, but also live in the world of fashion and do everything I’ve ever dreamed of.”

The basketball player has had a very hectic couple of months.

Her LSU basketball team reached the Elite Eight of the women’s NCAA tournament before falling to Caitlin Clark’s Iowa team on April 1.

Two weeks later, Reese began her professional career when Sky drafted her No. 7 overall.

And after a brief two-game preseason, Reese will make his competitive professional debut in a week when the Sky begin their regular season against the Dallas Wings.
