Andy Murray made a major change for the remainder of his career by leaving his own management agency and joining the firm representing Emma Raducanu.
The 35-year-old Scotsman has folded the tennis side of his management business and signed a deal with the ubiquitous IMG, which owns three events on the ATP Tour and has a large client base in the sport.
Murray founded his own agency 10 years ago, calling it 77 as an indicator of the number of years that passed between Fred Perry and his victory at Wimbledon.
In the intervening period, the former World No. 1 has been voted Sportsperson of the Year three times.
Despite this, he never showed much inclination to maximize his earning capacity off the field, and was generally less active on the commercial front than other top players, preferring to limit his number of promotional commitments.

IMG, as demonstrated with Raducanu, is known for enthusiastically pursuing earning opportunities, so it will be interesting to see if he can be persuaded to do so in these later years of his career.
Matt Gentry, his longtime manager, will continue to work with him.
Murray produced his worst performance in a widely cheered season so far when he lost in the first round of the Miami Open last week.
He next plans to do some training in southern Spain, but will sit out the Monte Carlo Open next month and play clay courts at the Masters events in Madrid and Rome ahead of the French Open.
It’s such a measure of the progress he’s made with his body that he plans to show it at three clay-court tournaments, having considered a few years ago that his days on brown dirt were behind him.
He has only played at Roland Garros once since 2017.
