A father-of-three has died on his dream interstate holiday as his family battle to bring his remains home.

He was due to fly back to his wife and children in Hillston, central western New South Wales, on New Year’s Eve when tragedy struck and he died.

Bella Page, a close family friend and Mr Congdon’s neighbor for six years, told Daily Mail Australia that Mr Congdon was a “great father” with several passions.

The family was left grieving the monumental loss, without the financial means to bring the body home.
