Andrew Johns was forced to ask police for help after a man allegedly repeatedly chased the football legend in his local suburb of Brontë, New South Wales.
New South Wales blues legend Johns, 49, first encountered the man while surfing at Bronte Beach on March 29. Police say they followed him into the water and the man allegedly stared at him for a continuous period.
When Johns returned home, he allegedly saw the same man walking on the trail outside his property.
The next day, the same 27-year-old man allegedly found Johns at a local cafe. She approached him and once again stared at him for a long period of time.
Johns raised the alarm with New South Wales Police and the man was arrested on March 31. He has been charged with one count of harassment.
