Andrew Garfield admitted he and co-star Florence Pugh were left red-faced after an embarrassing mistake during a sex scene for their new movie We Live In Time.
The actor, 41, stars in the romantic comedy alongside the actress, 28, and made the revelation during his appearance on The Graham Norton Show on Friday.
Laughing, Andrew recalled how the couple didn’t hear the director say “cut” and continued kissing even though the cameras stopped rolling and the crew left.
“(Florence and I) look at each other and try to stay in the moment, but we can also read each other’s minds and say, ‘What do we do?’ What is happening? “Why doesn’t anyone say anything?”
“I said, ‘It’s not my job to say cut,’ and she said, ‘It’s not my job to say cut,’ and this was all happening telepathically.”
Andrew then revealed that he was the one who finally looked up only to realize that the cameras were no longer facing them and that the crew had turned their backs on them.

We Live In Time follows the “unconventional” love story of a recent divorcee and a rising chef.
In the first trailer, Almut (Florence) and Tobias (Andrew) are reunited in a surprise encounter that changes their lives forever.
Through snapshots of their life together, including falling in love with each other, creating a home, and starting a family, a difficult truth is discovered that shakes the foundation of their relationship to the core.
As they embark on a 10-year romance challenged by time limits, they learn to treasure every moment of their unconventional love story.
Meanwhile, Florence recently revealed that after finishing the film she was forced to re-evaluate her personal life and how many sacrifices she had made.
In an interview with The timesrevealed how ‘relationships came and went’ after splitting from her long-time boyfriend, Zach Braff, in 2022.

‘I had to look away from my career, from cinema, from wanting to be this type of actor, that type of actor. Or how many awards I would love to get before I die.
‘That’s been my focus for ten years, but I want to make sure that the things I need to do, whether it’s kids, family, changes, relationship changes… well, I realized I need to make changes now. Because I’m a worker bee and that’s why I’ve never wanted a break. Everything was just, wow! What’s next? And it’s only been ten years since I can say, oh, I need to make a bit of my life.’
The Hollywood star decided to take a career break this year, the first since her first film, The Falling, in 2014, to focus on her personal life.
In September, the actress confirmed her relationship status after sparking romance rumors with Peaky Blinders star Finn Cole.
Florence was seen leaving The Perfect Couple premiere after-party while on a quick getaway with the actor.
Confirming her love status during her October cover shoot with Fashion, she said: ‘Am. Well, one thing I resonate with is that I think if magic is real, then it’s falling in love.’
Florence candidly revealed that they are “figuring it out” and admitted that she is ready to start a family.
And he added: ‘We are finding out what we really are. And I think for the first time I won’t allow myself to ride a roller coaster.
“I’m allowing myself to take the time to let something evolve and be completely real at its core, rather than rushing into it.”

In September, the actress confirmed her relationship status after sparking romance rumors with Peaky Blinders star Finn Cole (Finn pictured in 2022).
‘Falling is the most amazing feeling, but unfortunately if that’s the only thing you know in a relationship, then that’s what you chase. That’s not going to last.’
Before Finn, Florence was in a relationship with former Scrubs star Zach, 49, from 2019 until their split in 2022.
Giving rare insight into their relationship, the star explained: “I had to be public in the past because people harassed me and my partner.”
“My and Zach’s relationship was actually quite private until it became ugly, and I could see the toll it was taking on him, us, and our families. And that’s when I spoke up.
‘I think I want to protect anyone I’m with. It’s not nice to know that people are saying the worst things I’ve ever read about someone I love.
‘So that was necessary. I needed to talk about it. “I think any relationship in this spotlight is going to be stressed.”
