Andrew Bolt has ridiculed a Sydney University academic who allegedly sent him threatening and abusive messages, labeling him a “typical leftist”.

The Sky News presenter questioned how Joel Griggs could work for the University of Sydney as a casual member of staff responsible for teaching young students when he allegedly posted a series of inflammatory messages from his personal X account.

In August, Griggs responded to a post shared by the Sky News Australia account in which Bolt condemned revelations that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients would be given a different menu while in a public hospital.

“Well (sic), may you come one day, you seditious and traitorous scum,” wrote Mr. Griggs.

‘Not just Bolt, Panahi, Dean and (Peta) Cretin, but also faceless morons (sic) like the one who wrote and posted this tweet. “I was just doing my job” won’t cut it when the slaughter finally begins to take heads.

This post, along with several others allegedly addressed to the Australian Jewish Association, have been referred to New South Wales Police. Sky News Australia reported.

On Tuesday night, Bolt said he had “lost count of the death threats” he had received from the left.

‘On the one hand; Islamists. On the other; the hard left, the climate extremists and the racial activists, Antifa,” he said.

‘Even a humanitarian worker who, believe it or not, published my home address, wishing me ill, three children at home.

‘These are people who claim to be moral, so moral in fact, that they feel entitled to act like barbarians. Well, we will add to the number a real academic from the University of Sydney, this Joel Griggs.

Bolt said Griggs “considered himself a kind of Che Guevara of our suburbs with his violent and abusive language breathing fire online while supporting all leftist causes.”

And he added: ‘These people like to think that they are very brave and original. Freethinker, individuals. And yet, look at them: they turn out to be standard leftists, absolutely predictable, and they all chant exactly the same slogans.

Bolt questioned how Griggs could be recruited by the University of Sydney.

“How is it possible that a person so radical, so intolerant, so foul-mouthed… so abusive and so threatening is chosen as the right person to help the University of Sydney educate our young people, with our own money?” asked.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Mr Griggs for comment.

In his X biography, he describes himself as “Academic.” Fire mark. Wildcard.

‘It is socialism or barbarism. “Fuck the colony,” adds his biography.

In August, Bolt weighed in on revelations that Canberra Hospital is building a ward for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and creating a “mob menu”.

Patients who identified as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander were the only ones allowed to select food from the menu, which included dishes such as kangaroo stew.

A spokesperson for Canberra Health Services told Daily Mail Australia at the time that the “mob menu” had been developed “to improve the cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers during their stay, and to help them to feel supported.”

Bolt called it an “apartheid menu” and accused the hospital of “separating people by race.”
