The TV personality told iNews: ‘This year is the first year that I can’t travel and I have to say that the most unnerving feeling I’ve ever had was watching her dive at the Diving World Cup in Tokyo in May this year.
‘Normally because you’re there, you feel more about it, but watching TV makes you feel completely powerless as a parent, that’s very difficult.
“Watching football or a 100m race can be aloof enough to enjoy it, but watching my daughter in a game like the Olympics will be an experience of the looks. I don’t know if I should sit, stand or turn around.”

A maximum of 10,000 home spectators are allowed at events during the Tokyo Olympics, but they must wear masks and not cheer.
Overseas fans are completely barred from participating.
But there will still be a subdued atmosphere, as organizers have ruled that ‘masks must be worn on sites at all times’ and ‘speaking or shouting in a loud voice is prohibited’.
Spectators will not be required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test to enter venues and there will be a raffle of existing ticket holders to decide who will attend.
