Mario López has launched his own brand of hygienic cleansing wipes for men, but it seems he hasn’t put enough thought into the packaging and appearance of the product.
People have taken to social media after noticing an unfortunate detail on the packaging of the disposable wipes, which contain peppermint, eucalyptus citriodora oil, aloe vera and vitamin E “for a relaxing experience”.
The brown package has a picture of Mario’s face and says: ‘Mario López Men’s Wipes’, but the word ‘for’ is printed in a very small white font and is barely visible.
Posting a photo of the wipes on Reddit, one person wrote, “Mario Lopez wipes for men,” while someone else asked, “Why did they make that “for” so small?”
“Besides the way he looks at your soul,” another person said, referring to the image of Mario on the package.
Someone else joked: ‘What he’s looking at isn’t your soul… (but it does rhyme with soul…)’ while another person claimed: ‘Should the “para” have the same weight as the “men wipes” and the scale a little bigger?’
Another Reddit user asked, “How can an entire panel of people who probably get paid more than me give the green light to this s**t?”
And the comments on X weren’t much better when one person posted, “That guy is literally scraping the bottom of the barrel,” referring to Mario’s company.
Mario López has been the subject of ridicule after launching his own brand of hygienic cleansing wipes for men
People noticed an unfortunate detail on the wipes’ packaging: the word “for” was printed too small.
“That brown one is too flashy,” another said of the color of the package, while someone else joked: “So if I open (hehe) one of these, Mario Lopez will come out like a genie and offer to wipe my butt??
Another person asked: ‘Why is the “for” microscopic?’, while another X user added: ‘MARIO LÓPEZ WIPES MEN. Maybe they should have tried that typeface a little more.’
However, other people admitted that they would buy the wipes as gifts for the holiday season.
‘Is this the start of a series of doo doo wipes saved by the bell?! Because Christmas shopping just got so much easier,” one person posted.
“I’m laughing but I’m still going to buy some for Christmas gifts,” said another, while someone else claimed: “5 star reviews online.” Surely that guy is making money from this stuff!
Mario, who recently called Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s fight a “joke,” even responded to one particular review online and reposted a TikTok video while listening intently to a man mocking the product.
TikTok user @jahzuuuu began the video by saying, “I just wanted to remind everyone not to forget about a real problem and what they don’t want you to talk about right now, and that is that Mario López has launched his own line of wipes for the rear.
“There’s a lot to unpack here, no pun intended, I feel like this could be studied in some kind of graphic design class on how not to design packaging,” he continued.
Mario even posted a sarcastic review of the wipes on TikTok on his own profile and seemed to find it amusing.
People were eager to talk about the product and packaging in a Reddit thread earlier this year.
“When you see this from afar, which I imagine most people will see in the store, or in their bathroom or whatever, it looks like it says ‘Mario Lopez wipes for men,’ you know, which is fine, no. “Anything, but I don’t think it was intentional,” he continued to mock.
“But the color of the packaging is interesting, it’s like this chocolate brown color, and I guess that’s because it has a mint scent.”
Throughout the video, Mario held up a package of wipes, nodded and smiled as he listened to the comments.
He captioned the post: “This guy studied every angle of the wipes…Bravo!”
Someone else said: ‘Thanks to this video I just ordered 10 dozen. You bro, these wipes are money,’ and another wrote: ‘No lies were told. Mario is definitely an amazing sport to repost and react to.”
