RETRO SILHOUETTE:

Before J.Lo and Kim K, there was Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot.

Reminiscent of vintage styles worn by the sexy sirens of yesteryear, sculpted swimwear to show off a woman’s curves is up + 68% this season.

And it’s no surprise, because nostalgic trends have never been more popular.

Built-in bras and high-waisted bottoms support and flatter just about any figure beautifully.

Jourdan Dunn looked like a modern icon who recently styled a light blue printed two-piece with a balcony top and belted trousers.

Brands like Alohas, Solid & Striped, Zimmermann, LoveShackFancy and Hermoza have all reinvented the retro style in a modern way for their Summer 21 collections.

Slip one on and you’re pin-up perfection!

SEDUCTIVE CUTOUTS:

According to Stylight, cut-out styles are up (+ 182%).

Remember when the diaphragm was the meat to flash? Well, this summer there is not one exciting area, there are many!

Fashion’s new erogenous zones now include the shoulder, hip, sides of the waist, and everything in between – the skin is in it!

Olivia Culpo took a dip in crystal clear waters while she recently celebrated her 29th birthday.

The brunette beauty showed off a piece of underbust in a black two-piece.

While Olivia opted for a bikini, the cutouts look just as – if not more – sexy on a one-piece piece.

Brands like PatBo, La Gotta and Myra have made sure of that!

CLASSIC BLACK:

Classic black suits – with no frills and frills – are popular, with a 316% increase in clicks compared to last year, according to Stylight.

Whether a bikini or a one-piece, a black swimsuit with a crew neck, a deep back or one shoulder will always look sleek and chic.

Sofia Richie looked sensational while poolside in a simple two-piece that she accessorized with layered gold chains.

COLOR-BLOCKING FUN:

As reported by Stylight, one of the biggest trends this season is color / print blocking, with clicks up over 1000% for this swimwear category.

Color blocking uses ‘color blocks’ to create a bold, eye-catching look.

It’s a fun way to wear multiple shades at once, and it can be used as a handy tool to flatter your figure.

Wear dark shades on the part of your body that you want to minimize and brighter shades where you want to accentuate.

SWEET GINGHAM:

Like spring floral patterns, gingham prints always seem to come in summer.

The kitschy diamond that reminds us of picnics in the park has passed multiple ready-to-wear runways and has made its way into swimwear for 2021 with brands like Skatie and Montce.

Gingham is up 132% lately.

VERSACE-ESQ:

Another pattern to get consumers excited about warm weather is the 70s paisley style or the 90s Versace print.

This category has seen an increase of more than 1000% clicks.

While most of us can’t afford Versace’s design price tag, contemporary designers like Monica Hansen have incorporated the lavish print into their collections.
