Powerful 6.6 magnitude earthquake hits Indonesia
An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale struck Java off the Indonesian coast.
The monster quake was felt up to 500 miles southeast of Bali.
The Bureau of Meteorology says there is no threat of a tsunami.
The earthquake struck 93.8 kilometers north of Batang, a coastal town in central Java province, the US Geological Survey reported.
