An Australian woman was reportedly gang raped in Paris just days before the Olympic Games.
According to French mediaThe 25-year-old told police she had been raped by five men and sought refuge in a kebab shop just metres from the Moulin Rouge at around 5am on Saturday night.
She was found with her dress inside out and partially torn.
The owners of the kebab shop immediately called for help and took her to the hospital in Bichat.
The woman told police she had been raped by five individuals earlier that night, although she was reportedly unable to provide details about the location or circumstances surrounding the attack.

The Paris prosecutor’s office announced that an investigation into the incident is underway.
“The investigation into the accusation of gang rape probably committed on the night of July 19-20 has been entrusted to the 2nd district of the judicial police,” the Paris prosecutor’s office said.
The young woman had initially planned to return to Australia over the weekend.
Police union Alliance Paris said investigators “will do everything possible to quickly identify the individuals and bring them to justice.”
Police hope to prevent hysteria among tourists flocking to Paris for the summer and the Olympics.
