Karl Stefanovic has given a brutally honest opinion about the French, claiming they are “rude, pompous and sexually weird”.
Channel 9 presenter Stefanovic has shared his observations after spending time in Paris for the Olympics covering the sporting bonanza for the Australian broadcaster.
“The French are weirdos. The French are weirdos. We all know that,” she said on the Kyle and Jackie O show Monday.
‘They are a rather strange nation, sexually.’
Jackie Henderson then asked Stefanovic if he had tried speaking French to the locals, to which the presenter gave a curt response.
“You know what? I’ve stopped trying. I don’t really like them that much,” Stefanovic said.
“They’re very rude. They’re very arrogant… they’re pompous. But they make really good burgers. I like the burgers and stuff here.”

Stefanovic has been staying at an Airbnb with his wife Jasmine and daughter Harper.
The family came under fire after Jasmine thanked Channel 9 in a social media post following a dinner at Parisian luxury eatery Girafe Restaurant.
Stefanovic fans said the network’s staff was fired while they were enjoying their meal.
Last Thursday, the 49-year-old was spotted showing off her daughter Harper’s athletic prowess while in Paris for the 2024 Olympics.
The father-daughter duo were seen running through local streets as the Today host used a small pole as makeshift hurdles for his four-year-old.
In a very sweet video shared on his Instagram account, Karl was all smiles dressed in a black T-shirt and shorts as he cheered on his darling daughter.
Running with all her might down the sidewalk, Harper was wearing an adorable white dress, pink sneakers, and a visor to protect her face from the sun.
Karl ran alongside her, jumping forward every now and then to lower the pole in his hand and use it as a hurdle for Harper to jump over.
“Brisbane 2032 32m hurdles,” she captioned the video while tagging the Australian Olympic team’s account.
He said the French are “rude, pompous and sexually weird.”
This comes just days after Karl’s wife Jasmine revealed that she and daughter Harper are living it up as they accompany him to the Paris Olympics.
Jasmine, 40, who is in France with her husband while covering the Games for Channel Nine, shared several photos on social media showing the luxurious accommodation.
It looks like the trio have landed an apparent Airbnb sponsorship deal – one photo shows Karl and Harper lounging on the daybed.
Another snapshot showed a spacious bedroom, with a king-size bed and a stunning view of the city.
Jasmine captioned the photos: ‘A lovely welcome to Paris from @airbnb. Thank you for hosting us during the Olympics.
