A young Australian woman has her fans drooling after sharing a video of the amazing three-course meal she ordered at McDonalds in Bali.

Fitness trainer Bec Hardgrave, 28, from Brisbane, was excited to try Maccas in Bali for the first time.

Relaxing in a hotel bathrobe, Bec unpacked a delivery bag that was filled with menu items you’d never expect to find at a McDonalds in Australia.

The entire party cost him 146,000 Indonesian rupiah, the equivalent of about 14 Australian dollars.

Bec wowed Australians when she opened a mysterious-looking black burger.

The Mac and Cheese Burger, not available in Australia, is stuffed with a slice of battered macaroni and cheese on top of an Australian beef patty, slathered with stroganoff sauce on a black sesame seed bun.

“But why is it so good?” Bec said after taking a bite.

“This bread is very soft and fresh,” he said.

Then he ate some 'panas', a plate of fried chicken and rice.

He then delved into McDonald’s ‘panas’ menu, a fried chicken and rice menu with complimentary little packets of McDonald’s hot sauce.

The generous portion came with two large pieces of fried chicken, a thigh and a breast.

“This is really amazing. I feel like McDonald’s is much cooler in Bali than in Australia,” he said.

‘This could rival KFC chicken.’

Bec winced as the spiciness of the sauce began to take effect.

“Yes, that has a spicy touch,” he said.

She accompanied the chili with a fruit and lemon tea.

Bec’s Homemade Big Mac Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 3 tablespoons of pickled gherkins
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar

Method

Mix all ingredients together and place in a sauce bottle.

The chocolate and caramel tart for dessert was a little too sweet for Bec, who gave it a no-go.

Australians who visited Indonesia agreed that Bali’s Maccas is much cooler.

“The Australian Maccas need to up their game,” said one fan.

Others said it’s not just McDonald’s that’s the best in Bali.

Indonesian franchises of global fast food chains were much fresher and better than Australian outlets, according to most Australian tourists.

“KFC chicken in Bali is elite,” agreed one Australian.

Other people thought Bec was “living on the edge” by eating Indonesian fast food.

But she had no symptoms of the dreaded Bali belly, and even tried McDonalds in Thailand, also for the first time.

Bec regularly shares tips online on how to improve your Maccas experience in Australia.

One of his favorite tricks to improve your McDonald’s burger is to ask the staff to “steam” your bun.

She promises this makes the buns “big and fluffy” and the burgers extra delicious.

Bec has a recipe for low-calorie McDonald’s-style homemade chicken and cheeseburgers; the not-so-secret sauce that gives them an authentic flavor is her homemade Big Mac sauce.
