SWAT officers responded to the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago on Wednesday morning after a woman reportedly entered a skyscraper downtown with an gun.
The police told Chicago Sun Times that the woman entered the 401 North building “waving a gun” around 11.25am.
Radio traffic display officers were called to the 27th floor of the building. The “believed local” incident was not immediately linked to any terrorist threat.

According to Total Traffic, Wabash Avenue was closed in both directions between Wacker Drive and Hubbard Street due to the accident.
In an interview with WBBM, a resident described the chaos inside the building.
“I was doing some housework and some cooking and decided to get some air,” said the man, who identified himself as Steve.
The man said, “I went down to the lobby and was quickly escorted out of the lobby, out of the building and told not to come back until I was clear.”
He continued, “I asked several times what was going on and they did not acknowledge.”
Residents were reportedly not allowed to enter the building for several hours.

In a statement on Twitter, the police said they were still investigating.
“Special Forces officers are on the scene in the 400 building in N. Wabash for a domestic incident,” police said.
