American Andy Padilla couldn't stop laughing while 'recommending' watching the Inbetweeners

An American man left Brits hysterical after posting his reaction to watching The Inbetweeners for the first time.

Andy Padilla, from Austin, Texas, shared footage of himself watching the 2012 comedy film while laughing out loud, much to the amusement of Brits.

The comedy, which centres on the hilarious lives of four teenagers in Britain, ran for three seasons between 2008 and 2010 before being adapted into two films.

This means Andy was a little late to the game, but UK viewers were delighted that he found it so funny and encouraged him to keep watching.

Andy’s first clip, posted to TikTok under the username @and_yp512, went viral and now has over 720,000 views.

Filming a scene from the film where the four boys show off their embarrassing dance moves in a bid to impress a group of girls, Andy wrote: ‘The Inbetweeners, a 2012 British comedy, I died. I definitely recommend it.”

He told the camera: ‘They’re going up to talk to these girls, look!’ before howling with laughter.

In the comments section, Andy admitted that he didn’t know there was a series as well and that he had only “seen the movie.”

“I didn’t know there was a show until I posted this video and people commented on it!” she said.

However, she has now started watching the series and is documenting her reaction along the way.

Clips he has shared so far include the infamous “water park” scene from the second Inbetweeners film and Simon’s attempts to flirt with Tara in the show’s third season.

After watching the TikToks, Brits were almost as amused by Andy’s laugh as they were by the comedy show itself.

They wrote: “Americans who watch middling movies will always make me laugh”;

‘Inbetweeners is the most accurate insight into British teenage life ever made’;

‘As a Brit, interludes are our youth culture. Best comedy’;

‘Your laugh made this 10,000 times funnier! These guys are our British boyfriends’;

‘As someone who was a teenager in England between 2008 and 2015, this is the most accurate representation’;

“The scary thing is that we can all see ourselves or the people we grew up with in these characters.”

Americans have previously been criticized for their opinions on the Inbetweeners, including even a spin-off show that was ultimately canceled after just one season.

The classic show propelled its four stars Simon Bird, James Buckley, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison to stardom.

In January, Buckley and Thomas reunited for a selfie ten years into the hit franchise, sending fans into a frenzy.
