On a recent American Airlines flight from Phoenix to San Diego, the avid traveler landed in row 10 of an Airbus A321, which as his video shows, has two seats positioned next to the crew seat that faces the opposite way.
Chris’s overlay captions indicate that “the flight attendant’s jump seat is where the window seat should be.”
She adds that not having a third seat in the row “is nice if you’re a couple” and it’s located right next to an emergency exit, so another plus is that you can “jump right in… if you need to.”

Explaining her reasoning, she wrote: ‘For nervous passengers, I find the seats near the jump seats comforting to be close to the flight attendants and see them act calm.’
