Amy Schumer responds with humor as she is linked to nationwide tampon shortage: ‘I don’t even have a uterus’

Amy Schumer responded with humor on Thursday to a report linking her to a nationwide shortage of tampons.

On Wednesdays the New York Post published a report titled, “Why Amy Schumer Is Blamed for the National Tampon Shortage,” noting that a Procter & Gamble spokesperson told Time that sales of the product rose 7.7 percent after Schumer began appearing in Tampax commercials in July 2020.

The comic, 41, took a screenshot of the article with the caption, “Wow, I don’t even have a uterus,” referring to her revelation last fall that she had her uterus and appendix removed to fight endometriosis.

Schumer said in the post, “I don’t have a uterus, but nothing can stop me from wearing Tampax, okay?”
