Amy Robach and TJ Holmes have opened up about their “difficult” relationship issues as they admit they’ve put their romance “on the back burner” two years after their scandalous fling shocked ABC.

‘We work together and we have a relationship together and we were friends before as colleagues, so it’s kind of weird, you have the working relationship and then you have the romantic relationship, and the two don’t really coexist.’
His lover echoed his views and admitted that they did not prioritize each other.
“We may be in a relationship on autopilot, the relationship takes a backseat. We’ve stopped making our relationship a priority, I think that’s fair to say,” she added.
The couple admitted that their first day alone after their romance was revealed “wasn’t great.”
Amy said, “I think sometimes everything that’s been building up and not being verbalized just because you haven’t had time alone to have real connections, comes out anyway. So the first day was a little rough, but we’re doing okay now.”
TJ joked, “Ha, a little choppy. It was rockier than ocean waves.”
During a recent episode of their podcast, Amy & TJ., they confessed that they’ve been having trouble in paradise lately because they’ve made their romance “secondary.”
The lovebirds said that in an attempt to rekindle their spark, they booked a romantic getaway, however, that only frustrated them further.
Amy revealed that she had booked her tickets and had accidentally listed her boyfriend’s birthday as 1997 instead of 1977, causing the TSA to flag it.
She explained: ‘Clearly I made the reservation, so it was entirely my fault. So not only did I steal your TSA pre-screening, but I (or you) got flagged because I entered your birth year incorrectly.’
While trying to help, Amy admitted that she ended up making the situation worse by interrupting her boyfriend’s conversations with security.
TJ added: “There’s nothing to blame you for, I know you felt bad about it. There was no reason to make you feel worse.”
They admitted that although they can now “laugh about it” and are more in love than ever, they did not say a word to each other during the flight.
