Amy Poehler opened up about the surprising gift she received from Hugh Jackman in 2001, after he appeared alongside her on Saturday Night Live.
The American comedian, 52, who attended the Sydney premiere of Inside Out 2 on Monday, revealed that Jackman, 55, holds a special place in her heart.
“You know who one of my favorites was, Hugh Jackman, an absolute prince and very talented,” he said. The Daily Telegraph.
“He gave all the cast members a case of Fosters beer.”
Jackman was a guest host on the long-running American comedy show in December 2001, starring alongside Poehler and Maya Rudolph.

Poehler added that although she was no longer on SNL when Chris Hemsworth, 40, guest hosted in 2015, she heard that he had a “powerful” presence and that his “essence remained” long after he left.
Amy cut a stylish figure at the premiere of Inside Out 2, wearing a cream three-piece suit consisting of a stylish jacket, vest and wide-leg pants, and she added a pair of stacked patent leather heels to the look.
She accessorized it with a black flower pinned to her lapel, as well as a pair of delicate earrings.
For makeup, the comedian went for a bright, rosy look with satin pink lipstick and swept her blonde hair out of her face.

Amy is visiting Australia for a special Vivid Ideas event at the Sydney Opera House.
The Golden Globe and Emmy-winning actress presents Vivid Sydney Presents – In Conversation with Amy Poehler, plus a special first look at Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2, in which Poehler plays emotion Joy.
“I’m really looking forward to participating in Vivid Sydney this year, a place that welcomes Joy in every way,” Poehler said in a statement ahead of her visit.
“I can’t wait to share a little bit about Inside Out 2: a movie that lets Joy and Sadness, Anxiety and Envy try to work together in hilarious and touching ways,” he added.
It is the American star’s first appearance in Sydney since 2015.
