Multiple Amtrak train cars derailed Wednesday afternoon in Southern California, leaving passengers briefly stranded and at least four people injured.
The train was traveling through Moorpark – a city northwest of Los Angeles – when it struck an unoccupied car on the tracks.
Helicopter footage from the scene showed the first responders assisting dozens of passengers with baggage across train tracks and away from the locomotive.
The four passengers who sustained injuries suffered ‘bumps and scrapes,’ all ‘minor injuries,’ the Ventura County Fire Department PIO said on Twitter.
Amtrak services between Ventura and Los Angeles were suspended.

An officer with the Moorpark Police Department confirmed to DailyMail.com that police and fire officials were on the scene Wednesday investigating.
A call first came in at 11.18am near West Los Angeles Avenue and Montair Drive.
It’s unclear what the vehicle was doing on the tracks at the time of the collision.
Aerial footage showed the totaled vehicle and the train which appeared mostly unscathed aside from the few cars off the tracks.
The derailed cars did not overturn.
Passengers were taken off the train and asked to wait in a nearby field as police and fire investigated the crash.

Ventura County Fire Department Capt. Brian McGrath told the Moorpark Acorn that 190 people were aboard the train.
Authorities told NBC 4 that a bus would transport them from the scene.
