Amino acids are structural, chemical units or building blocks that makeup proteins. Amino acids consist of 16% nitrogen, which is the main element, including two essential nutrients – carbohydrates and fats. The importance of amino acids for the body is determined by the enormous role that proteins play in all life processes. Enzymes and hormones that catalyze and regulate all processes in the body are also proteins. 

Various forms of proteins take part in all processes occurring in living organisms. In the human body, proteins form muscles, ligaments, tendons, all organs and glands, hair, nails; proteins are part of fluids and bones. 

The deficiency of proteins in the body can lead to dehydration. Each protein in the body is unique and exists for special purposes. Proteins are not interchangeable. They are synthesized in the body from amino acids, which are formed as a result of the breakdown of proteins found in foods. There are about 28 amino acids

In the human body, many of them are synthesized in the liver. However, some of them cannot be synthesized in the body, so a person must necessarily receive them with food. 

Eight amino acids are indispensable for a healthy adult person: valine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, threonine, tryptophan and phenylalanine. Protein synthesis
