Americans react to Kamala Harris' election loss - and everyone's saying the same thing about where she went wrong

Americans across the country reacted to Donald Trump’s stunning political comeback and revealed where they think Kamala Harris went wrong.

Trump, 78, scored a remarkable victory in the 2024 presidential election, defeating Vice President Kamala Harris in the key states of North Carolina, Georgia and Pennsylvania.

Meanwhile, the vice president is on track to receive the worst Electoral College result of any Democrat since 1988 once all the votes are counted.

Many voters have since expressed relief at Wednesday’s result, claiming that Harris and Democrats don’t know what the American people really want.

‘She completely misunderstood her constituents. And, you know, it wasn’t as tight as it should have been. And I think Democrats are going to have to take that into account,” said Crystal Boya, a Harris voter from Milwaukee.

Many people expressed relief over Wednesday’s election results, admitting that Harris and Democrats don’t know what the American people really want.

Some voters said they supported Trump because they felt Harris couldn't be trusted with foreign policy and feared the country could go to war.

“I don’t think the Democratic Party in its current form is capable of leading America into a major conflict and I think that’s where we’re heading due in large part to this administration,” said James Bessinger, a Trump supporter in South Carolina.

“So if I have to choose between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, who will lead the military in what could be World War III, I have to take my hat off to Donald Trump in that regard.”

Harris voter Soufyaan Edouard in Washington, DC, added: ‘Honestly, I’m very disappointed, but I saw it coming last year, especially when everything that happened in Gaza happened. But even before, when Joe Biden announced that he would run for president again, I saw that there was a lack of enthusiasm.”

Others said they felt they had been left behind by Democrats and voted for Trump because they thought the country was better under his leadership.

‘Democrats seem to just stick to the party line. And I don’t think they really look at the numbers. You know, I think they make decisions with a little more emotion and less analysis,” said Ben Vollmer, a Trump voter in Wisconsin.

“At the end of the day, I just look at the record and felt like, you know, the country was better and better run under Trump.”

North Carolina bricklayer Bobby McMahan concluded: “I think Donald Trump is the right man to do the job.” He has proven it, through all this adversity stacked against him to come back. Win the popular vote and the electoral vote. So, he’s the right man for the job. He has a good team behind him.’
