American teenage sensation Iva Jovic, 16, stuns world number 42 Magda Linette to win on her Grand Slam debut at the US Open

American teenager Iva Jovic pulled off a stunning upset on Monday night by beating world number 42 Magda Linette in the first round of the US Open.

Jovic, at just 16, is the youngest player in the main draw and is currently ranked world number 389.

But in her first match at a senior Grand Slam, she beat her Polish opponent 6-4, 6-3 on Court 15.
