The 60-year-old television personality casually shared the exciting update on Instagram.
The update comes just a week after a friend of former American Pickers star Frank Fritz was forced to confirm he was alive and well following online rumors claiming he was dead.
Unconfirmed reports that the 58-year-old reality TV personality had died seemed to spread like wildfire last week when a website appeared on Google with the title ‘In Memory of Frank Fritz: A Journey Through His Life and Legacy’.
However, a close friend of the star appeared to confirm over the weekend that he was very much alive.
On Frank’s Facebook fan page, they said: ‘He was devouring a chocolate ice cream sundae last night so again he’s not dead.
“The rumors are still circulating, but we’ve been dealing with them a lot over the past two years. These rumors seem to be a bit stronger than most in the past.”
The friend also revealed that they would announce Frank’s death on the social media site if he were to pass away.
“If Frank were to die like his friends, we would like to have a little time to inform all of his best friends, which is a lot,” they continued.
‘And then you’ll also read it on this page of our local newspaper called the Quad City Times.
Earlier this month, death rumors circulated about Mike’s former co-star Frank Fritz.
A close friend of Frank insisted he is “not dead” after rumours circulated online
‘I assure you that the time between his death and my announcement will be brief.
“It’s important to me that his close friends come first, his beloved fans and our local people who have supported him since day one.”
Furthermore, a source close to Frank also told The US Sun: “This is all a load of nonsense. I don’t know where it came from.”
‘Frank has been fine, he’s been eating ice cream and watching the Olympics.’
In July, Mike announced that he and his crew had signed a deal to film a new season of American Pickers.
On Instagram, she took a moment to reflect on how working with her team had been “one of the best experiences” of her life.
Mike also thanked the millions of fans around the world who had supported American Pickers since it debuted on the network 14 years ago, adding that he never thought it would resonate with so many people.
Sharing a photograph of his trusted men, Mike wrote: ‘I know everyone says they have the best team, but in this business, how many can say they’ve worked side by side with the majority for over a decade?
Mike previously revealed that he had signed a contract for another season of the History Channel show.
On Instagram, Mike wrote: “After putting this project out there for 5 years, I never imagined in my wildest dreams how it would resonate with so many millions of people around the world.”
‘Some of the people in this photograph have been with me for almost 16 years and many for more than 10 years.
‘Living and working side by side with them has been one of the best experiences of my life.
‘We’ve seen each other grow and evolve in so many beautiful ways.’
He continued: ‘All this reflection arises because today I sign another contract to do another season.
‘After putting this project forward for 5 years, I never imagined in my wildest dreams how it would resonate with so many millions of people around the world.
‘It shows me that history matters and that the stories we uncover connect us all.
‘At a time when we all seem so divided, we can still reach back into the past for those little moments we created to find peace and common ground.’
Mike concluded his post by expressing his gratitude to all the fans who have tuned into American Pickers over the years.
“Thank you for believing in this project,” he wrote. “It wouldn’t be possible without all your support.”
