An accident on the 3-meter springboard during the Paris 2024 Olympics left American diver Alison Gibson in an unfortunate tie with Animal House’s John Blutarsky.

Gibson earned a 0.0 rating during Wednesday’s competition, matching the infamous GPA of John Belushi’s character on the 1978 comedy.

The 25-year-old Texas native was in the correct position on Tuesday when her feet turned toward the board, causing her to fall to the surface of the water.

Gibson attempted to perform a two-and-a-half-flip inboard dive. He then left the pool area in obvious frustration, covering his face with his hands.

Fortunately, Gibson did not suffer any injuries and was able to continue competing. After four jumps on Wednesday, she placed 27th out of 28 competitors.
