The star-studded sports drama that sparked early Oscar buzz marks a new era for Amazon Studios in how it releases certain original titles. Instead of sending Sky straight to streaming, the studio has agreed to stick to a traditional theatrical window to give the movie a solid run in thousands of theaters.
Sky will have played exclusively on the big screen for 39 days when it premieres on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.
