A major streaming service offers what sounds like the best job ever – getting paid to watch TV shows and movies and have your say.
The successful applicant will receive $40,431 to watch three months worth of Amazon Australia’s Prime Video content and tell everyone what they liked.
As the channel’s official ‘Prime Video Buff’, they also get the chance to develop an identity as a streaming influencer.

The role includes ‘a role in front of the camera, [so] you will become a fixture on Prime Video’s social platforms,” Amazon Australia said on the job posting’s webpage.
They also get access to the red carpet, at least to one event.
The track appears to be an attempt to discover emerging fencing talent aged 18 or over.
The ideal profile Amazon Prime wants for the role is “a walking, talking movie and TV encyclopedia.”
To enter, applicants must impress by uploading an entertaining audition video of at least 30 seconds but less than two minutes.
Amazon says the audition should show “your knowledge and passion.”
‘[Your] video can be anything that demonstrates your knowledge of TV and film,” says the ob web pager.
It could be a review of the last movie you saw, a love letter to your all-time favorite TV series, a tour of your poster/memorabilia-filled room, or you could list all the quotes from that movie-filled brain of you.’
Applicants must submit at least one social media handle for organizers to check out.

They also have to pass an interrogation and police check.
Most of the “work” involved is watching the platform’s summer content – from December 5, 2022 to March 5, 2023 – and then recommending picks to other Aussies in-camera.
Entries must be submitted no later than midnight on November 28, and the successful applicant will be found by December 1.
