Lynn Staffieri, of Magnolia, Delaware, was stunned to see an Amazon delivery boy running away from her home on her family’s security camera.

Little did she know her son Jacob, 13, had left instructions for the driver to knock on the door three times, “shout abracadabra as loud as you can and run away super fast.”

The funny security footage shows the Amazon driver quietly approaching the house and putting the package on the floor before banging on the door three times.

The driver shouts the magic phrase before sprinting out of the house and jumping over a bucket as she runs back to her van.

The driver plays along and follows all of Jacob’s instructions – including a loud scream as she sprints away.

But the hilarious moment went unnoticed for months until Lynn, 47, got a notification on her phone, where she suddenly saw a delivery boy running out of her house.

Lynn thought the driver was afraid of a dog and went home to check the original images with sound.

While she watched the security video, Jacob, who was standing nearby, suddenly laughed.

Lynn said, “I hope people understand that this is not malicious at all, and hopefully the driver understands that it is a child who put those instructions in, even if he shouldn’t have.

“I think she had a good time with it and understood it was a child.

“She is a good sport. Even though we are all stuck in these times that we are now, we can still have some fun and enjoy what we do.

“Maybe we don’t take ourselves so seriously and enjoy what we can.”

Lynn finally found the hilarious images on June 15, months after her son’s funny joke.
