Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is launching a fleet of 10,000 Prime all-electric rickshaws in India to combat climate change.

The technology mogul commemorates the launch by sharing a video on his Instagram with a post that says: ‘Hello, India. We are deploying our new fleet of electric supply rickshaws. Fully electric. Zero carbon #ClimatePledge ’.

Amazon is expected to have 100,000 of the green vehicles that roam the streets over the next decade, which says it will save four million metric tons of carbon.

The 30-second clip shows Bezos jumping into one of the vehicles, complete with a plaque that says ‘Jeff’, and directs a team of delivery drivers through a grassy area to show the capabilities of the vehicle.

Bezos said last week during his visit to India, “the 21st century is going to be an Indian century,” while revealing his company’s profile to help create a $ 10 billion market for Indian exports by 2025 .

Cars include three and four wheel models that were designed and built in India.

Amazon expects its electric vehicles to reduce carbon emissions and the environmental impact of delivery operations in the Asian country.

Later on Thursday, Bezos posted a video on his Instagram account that shows him flying a kite with Indian teenagers.

“Any day is a good day to fly a kite,” Bezos wrote in the caption.

He finished the subtitle with the hashtag #ThankYouIndia.
