Amazing POV footage of a head chef at work goes viral: Video filmed in swanky London restaurant Fallow racks up millions of views

A point-of-view (POV) video showing a chef at work has generated a riot of clicks on YouTube.

footage recorded in fallow restaurant in St James’s, London, by co-founder Jack Croft has amassed nearly four million views.

Jack filmed the POV footage with a GoPro 4K camera during a busy Friday lunchtime, and viewers got to see him add the finishing touches to dishes and guide his team.

Some of the dishes prepared include rare breed pork with collard greens; the fallow dairy cow burger; and the restaurant’s head of cod with sriracha butter sauce.

The pace is frantic, with sauces dispensed, cuts of meat heated up, and presentation adjustments in a matter of seconds.

But Jack, who co-founded Fallow with chef William Murray and businessman James Robson, never loses his cool.

And it’s something that viewers have been quick to notice.

YouTube user and chef ‘MrMrutube1987’ commented: ‘Seeing a kitchen with zero anger and zero yelling and 100 per cent teamwork really makes me wish I was in a different kitchen. You have this kitchen to perfection. Really great job.

And chef ‘randysavage5989’ wrote: ‘I have worked in many kitchens in my 15 years of experience. Eight minutes and I can tell you that this chef has a level of professionalism that many claim (to have) but few possess. He speaks to the people about him with respect and authority.

‘He uses his own chain of command to institute change before going to oversee that change.

I would love to work in this kitchen.

Jack said: 'We are not a noisy kitchen.  It's not the way we run the business and I don't think it's an effective way to get the best out of a team.'

MailOnline Travel asked Jack if his ‘normal’ chef temperament was on display.

He said: ‘We are not a screaming kitchen. It’s not the way we run the business and we don’t think it’s an effective way to get the best out of a team.

“It’s an honest look at how Fallow’s cooking is run – we didn’t think it would be good content if it didn’t feel authentic.” The team would feel tense and the spectators would see right through it.’

He added: “We wanted to convey real behind-the-scenes footage of a kitchen from our perspective and give viewers a real sense of how the equipment operates during a busy lunch service.”

And Jack and Will were surprised by the number of views?

They said: ‘Absolutely! We were hoping that people would find it interesting, but we didn’t think he would have the reaction that he did.”
