Amanda Kloots focused on one of her favorite memories from her South African honeymoon with husband Nick Cordero in a touching Instagram Stories video posted on Saturday.
The 38-year-old fitness instructor talked about a hilariously disappointing shark-spotting journey that turned into a lovely evening after scoring a table at a swanky restaurant.
She also shared some throwback photos of their trip with the 41-year-old Broadway star, who is currently fighting for his hospital life after falling ill with COVID-19.

“So I thought I’d tell you a little Nick story,” Amanda began her honeymoon in South Africa with a safari trip.
“Nick and I decided to go shark diving because I’ve always wanted to do this,” she said.
“So we’re on this boat and we drove all the way out, it’s super early in the morning, and we’re right by this place called Seal Island, it smells awful.”
The newlyweds had to cover their faces with their shirt collars because of the overwhelming aroma of seal poop floating over the water.

Amanda revealed that it was her dream to see a big white [shark] come out and get a seal, “but she and Nick quickly lost hope after the guide said they had never seen a shark attack a seal in their two years covering the route.
“At that point, I knew we probably wouldn’t see sharks,” she added.
Despite the unpleasant circumstances, she and Nick laughed uncontrollably at the situation.
“Do you know when you’re in those states with a friend and you just don’t even remember why you’re smiling because it’s so ridiculous?” she explained.
After giving up the sharks and smelly seals, they returned to the land in search of food, so they decided to go to one of the locations of Beau Constantia, a luxury restaurant in a vineyard recommended to her by several people.

She expected they would be unable to find a table, but one had opened when they arrived, giving them great views of the countryside.
After a tasty meal and some generous wine tasting, Amanda remembered going out to take in the view and falling asleep with her head on Nick’s shoulder.
When she woke up, she saw tears streaming down his cheeks.
“So I look up to him and he cries and he says,” Amanda, I will remember this moment for the rest of my life. This is just the best view, and you sleep on me, and I just think about how happy I am, how grateful and how blessed we are. I will never forget this day and this lunch, “she recalled.
Amanda continued her story with photos from July 2018, including one of the two who seemed somewhat disappointed on their shark-watching trip.
She also had a sweet photo of herself cuddled with Nick that seemed to have been taken shortly after his emotional confession.
After lunch, a nap: the couple sat outside and took in the beautiful view before Amanda fell asleep with her head on Nick’s chest. She woke up to find he was crying

On Friday, Amanda shared a chilling warning to anyone who did not take the coronavirus pandemic seriously.
She shared the last photo she took of his illness with Nick and their son Elvis before his illness and described the excruciating ordeal he underwent during his 39 days in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
