Amanda Holden’s mother reacted to the news that her daughter got her first tattoo during a fun phone call on Thursday.
The presenter, 50, got three hearts tattooed on her wrist during a girls’ night out in Los Angeles last week and left her husband Chris Hughes totally impressed.
And it seems her mother Judith Harrison was of the same opinion, joking that Amanda must have “been three sheets to the wind” when she walked into the tattoo shop.
Speaking on Heart Breakfast, the TV personality and Jason King called his mother to tell her the news after she ignored a photo of his tattoo on WhatsApp.
Amanda explained: “So I sent her a photo and my mom’s response: ‘I don’t want gels or maybe I do because my nails are ruined anyway so I might as well buy gels.’

She added: “She clearly hasn’t seen the two little hearts that are on my wrist and Jane’s wrist.”
On the phone, Judith replied: ‘I saw a couple of little hearts on your wrist. Was it a real tattoo? You’re not going to have real tattoos, are you?
Jason asked, “What do you think about the fact that your daughter got her first tattoo on a wild trip to America?”
“Well, he must have drunk too many gins, that’s all I can say,” he replied.
—She wouldn’t have done that. I know she doesn’t like tattoos.
“And I think he must have done it on a real whim when he was three sheets to the wind or whatever they say.”
‘One more question. She is also thinking about getting a piercing, what do you think? Jason’s question.
Amanda’s mother exclaimed, “Of course not.”

The Britain’s Got Talent judge showed off two small hearts tattooed close together on her wrist and revealed that they “symbolize my two children”, Holly and Lexi.
Speaking on her Heart Breakfast radio show, Amanda revealed she already knows where she wants to get a second tattoo.
She said: ‘So I came home from LA, no one in my family realized, apart from my son, who was with me, that I just couldn’t get over it.
‘I left so many hints and my husband just didn’t notice. Anyway, Holly was losing her mind because she was obviously present at the time of the tattoo, which didn’t hurt and lasted less than 30 seconds.
‘In the end, we told Chris and he had the three reactions I told him.
‘First, he said it looks fake. Secondly, he said it looks disgusting. And thirdly, he said, “Oh, what’s going to happen next? Where else are you going to get one? What else are you going to do? And now the kids are going to want one,'” is what he said.’
‘They are two little hearts next to each other to symbolize my two children. But I’m going to make another small one at the bottom.’
Explaining her spontaneous decision to get a tattoo, Amanda said: “Last week I was in Los Angeles with my daughter Holly during half term to see my best friend who has lived there for 20 years and I also met up with some other friends who now live there. out there.
“I was having a cup of tea with my friend Sarah, and she was crushing a tea bag in her cup when I realized (she had a tattoo) and decided: I’m going to do that.”
On the phone, Judith replied: “I think he must have done it on a real whim when he was three sheets to the wind or whatever they say.”

Explaining her spontaneous decision to get a tattoo, Amanda said: “I’ve always been totally against them and we got in the car, went, found a place and got a tattoo.”
She continued: ‘Anyway, I went to dinner with friends and we were there with Holly, Freya and Jack, the kids. And I said to Jane, look what Sarah has done to herself. And Jane said, ‘Oh my God, this is fabulous.’ I said, ‘let’s do it.’
“She said, ‘You’re kidding,’ and I said, ‘I’ve always been totally against them.’ And we got in the car and went and found a place.
‘I can tell that in this place there was a bar and for some reason, a big pole in the middle of the room, but In the corner was the person we needed to see.
‘We approached this person, he was able to include us and we both did exactly the same thing. We both had a tattoo.
