Les Dennis has recalled the shocking first time he saw ex-wife Amanda Holden’s second husband, Chris Hughes.
The 69-year-old television legend married judge BGT, 52, in 1995 when she was 22 and he was 40, before divorcing eight years later.
And it turns out that in a strange twist of fate, Les was managed by Chris’s father, Mike Hughes, early in his career and met the record producer when he was a young child.
Speaking in White Wine Question Time with Kate Thornton he said: “I tell this story in my book that when Mike became my manager in 1973 and Lynne and I were about to get married, my first wife, Lynne, we were excited that Mike had become my manager.”
‘She said, ‘let’s go by his house’ because she lived on Queens Drive in Liverpool, we went by, and the curtains were open, and I said, ‘look, there he is’, and we saw Mike Hughes picking up a little boy and swinging the boy around ‘.

‘Lynne, later, after a lot had happened in my life, said to me, “Think, if we had known then, if someone had tapped us on the shoulders while we were sitting in the front of the car and told us then that you guys the two are getting married next year, but their marriage won’t last, and Les will marry a younger woman who will one day marry the child that’s being swung in that room.’
Les was married to Lynn from 1974 to 1990 and has one son, Phillip, before marrying Claire Nicholson in 2009 and having two children.
Meanwhile, Amanda married Chris in 2008 and they have two daughters, Lexi, 17, and Hollie, 11.
Elsewhere in the chat, Les discussed why he quickly agreed to the Family Fortunes game show, which he hosted from 1987 to 2001, after a shocking pay cut before heading to the Celebrity Big Brother house.
Saying, ‘I had just left the Big Brother house and the phone was gone, you know [ringing]. I went in thinking I was going to reboot, ‘
“Everyone says they go to the Big Brother House or a show like that for charity or whatever, and certainly at the time there was no fee when we did that… there was no fee.”
He continued: “You say, ‘oh, I’m going to go for charity,’ but I was going to try and start over because Family Fortunes was over. I decided to leave him because he had gone to a daytime schedule. I left him for money, to be honest. They offered an insulting 98% pay cut.’
Last month, Les told them that he had forgiven his ex-wife Amanda Holden for cheating on him during their marriage.
