Amanda Holden has revealed she is “soaked to the skin” as she gives an update on her grueling 250-mile charity ride.

The Heart Breakfast presenter, 53, began her mammoth bike challenge from Cornwall to London on Monday.

But just two days into the five-day challenge, the weather has already proven to be a difficult obstacle for the mother of two.

In a snap shared on Instagram, Amanda can be seen curled up on a couch by the fire, soaked from the rain.

The star looked miserable as she took off her soaked socks and held her feet close to the flames to warm up.

“The weather is biblical…Honestly, I’m soaked to the bone, my butt, everything is wet,” she said in a voice note played on Heart with Pandora Christie this morning.

Amanda will be cycling over 250 miles in a bid to raise funds for Global’s Make Some Noise.

The challenge began yesterday and will continue throughout the week as it travels through Somerset, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Surrey before arriving at its destination on Friday.

The star revealed that she will use ‘bum butter’ from the beginning of the trip to the end.

In an interview with The Sun’s Bizarre column, the radio host explained: “I have padded bolsters and butt butter, but that’s just every day for me.”

‘I had never heard of butter, but now I have many varieties.

He added: ‘We estimate we’ll burn 15,000 calories a day. I still have Saganaki’s belly from my holiday in Corfu, so I’m doing this now for charity and to lose weight. I’ll be like Davina McCall when I get back. I’ll be gutted.’

In preparation for the challenge during last week’s radio show, Amanda rode a stationary bike in her stilettos and glamorous outfit.

The ITV star previously said he would like to have a basket on the front of his bike for the ride, as he would like to collect snacks to keep him going.

She said: “I want a shopper with a basket and a gel saddle because if I want to stop for a bite to eat at the local Spar in Bude, I will.”

Amanda continued: ‘I’m going to need snacks for energy. But you know what? As I do this, my thighs hit the flab on my tummy, so at least I can remove the flab with my own thighs!’

Amanda is no stranger to tough challenges, having previously completed the Three Peaks Challenge, a 10,000ft skydive and climbed to the top of Blackpool Tower in aid of Global’s Make Some Noise.

However, Amanda’s ‘big commute’ will be the longest and longest Amanda has ever cycled yet.
