But while Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda is on board the ITV show, she has been hit by false claims amid reports showing bosses secretly created acts from scratch.
According Sun Producers submit ideas for potential viral auditions, along with scripts, musical suggestions and lines for the judges to say.
One example claims that the show’s bosses attempted to recreate the hype around 2022’s terrifying magic act, The Witch, and approached indie actor Andrew Fletcher to take on the role of last year’s Scary Clown.
A source said: “Looking for talent on shows is nothing new, but creating acts out of nothing is ridiculous.”
‘The Witch was so well received that the bosses wanted to recreate the commotion. “They thought playing on Simon’s clown phobia would be ideal, so they put ideas together.”
Before adding: ‘The public will feel like they are being taken for a ride if this sort of thing continues. It’s like they’ve been lied to, even though the goal was to put on the best show possible.”
MailOnline has contacted ITV for comment.
