The presenter, 48, gushed that she’s “shed so many happy tears” reading her fans’ supportive messages after describing her “long and heartbreaking” fertility journey.
Amanda, who has been married to TV producer Julian Okines’ husband since 2016, shared a sweet message with her baby boy wrapped in a swaddle as she thanked her fans for their supportive messages since she announced she was going to be a mother.
She also admitted to taking her son for his first beach walk after vowing to do just that while carrying her son during pregnancy.

Amanda captioned her post: ‘Phoenix, Julian and I just wanted to say an incredible THANK YOU to everyone for your wonderful messages, we are so overwhelmed and feel the love.
“It’s hard to answer anyone who isn’t sleepy, but know that we’ve read them all and shed many happy tears reading them.”
In a second post, she added: Our first beach walk as a family of three. During my pregnancy I walked on this beach every day and told Phoenix how much he was going to love it, and now for the first time he has listened carefully to the crashing waves.
It’s been over a week since I took off my pajamas, washed my hair, got out of my disposable pants, used Lanisoh buckets, or slept more than 2 hours a night and I’m beyond grateful for each and every one of these.
“The emotional rollercoaster that comes with being a first-time mom is one that I’m really grateful for and that would change for the world for nothing.”

Last week, Amanda shared the unexpected news of becoming a mother for the first time, when she shared a photo of her son’s tiny hand on Instagram.
She wrote: ‘And then you were there. I’m so overjoyed, full of love and bursting with happiness to share with you that @julianokines and I welcomed our incredible son, Phoenix Blaze Byram Okines, to the big wide, wonderful world…
What a privilege he entrusted to us to nurture and guide his little soul through life’s endless possibilities and we are eternally grateful to him for choosing us as his parents. Our fertility journey has been long…
“Our journey to fertility has been a long one, and we know all too well the heartache of hope that turned to hopelessness, the elation that turned to devastation, and the tension that this often secret journey puts above your job, your friends, and your life.
‘Overjoyed’: The star posted a photo of her baby boy’s tiny hand as she describes herself and husband Julian’s long journey to become parents
“I know many brave parents-to-be who, like us, have struggled for a long time, so today we share this magical news in the hopes it can inspire and provide a light at the end of the tunnel…
“You are mighty warriors, I know your pain and I see you. We’re sending you all the power you need to tackle your travels…
“Now that he’s finally here, we realize we’ve never been more ready or feeling rested mentally, physically and emotionally to be his mommy and daddy.

‘My heart is bursting with love for you… you have been my rock for years and encourage me to persevere and carry on….
After every tear, every mood, every sadness, your positivity made everything possible again. It is thanks to you, your energy and your enthusiasm that we are all here together today…
“We’re so lucky to have you, and Phoenix is so lucky to call you his daddy, I know you’re already his hero. We love you infinitely ️’ .
In her recent Instagram photos, Amanda is mostly popped up from the waist up or with her back to the camera – her bump hidden.
Passionate: She shared a long caption about their fertility struggle
In 2015, she spoke about her fears about “leaving it too late to be a mother.”
She said at the time, “Look, I’m 42. And I never really wanted to go down that road until I was really, really sure I’d met the right person…
“I think there are choices that you make as a woman, you can choose to do it alone, to do it with someone, even if you’re not convinced they’re the right person. Or you can wait for the right person and then maybe find out it’s too late…
‘We’ve been together for a year and a half. I am fit, I am healthy, in that sense there are no problems. So who knows? It’s in the hands of the gods.’

In 2016, she then told Diary, “I hope we have kids. I do. I always say you can’t really plan things like that, and even if you try, you can’t…
“I have no idea what kind of mother I would be. I don’t think you can know that until you actually get into that situation. You always expect to go one way and then you’re the other way. I’ll have to wait and see.’
Five years before she married Julian, Amanda nearly tied the knot with Asutralian rugby union player Craig McMullen.
When the relationship fell through, she previously said to Hello! of her decision: “I felt such relief. It was one of the bravest things I’d ever done, but I’d turned it upside down and considered it a weakness.”
