Amanda Bynes’s lawyer says her conservatorship is ‘open day to day’ and has not been renewed

Amanda Bynes’ attorney, David Esquibia, says recent reports that the actress’s seven-year legal guardianship had been extended until March 2023 were false.

In a statement to PeopleEsquibia explained that the 35-year-old’s conservatory is “open day-to-day” and a status report was scheduled, not an extension, for 2023.

“Recently, a status report on her health and well-being was submitted and approved by the court. By law, the next status report must be submitted in two years. Her guardianship ends when it no longer suits Amanda,” the lawyer said.

According to legal documents obtained by People, Amanda “will undergo another status report in January 2023.”

Just a day before, legal documents obtained by The blast seemed to suggest that Amanda’s finances and affairs would remain under the control of her parents Lynn and Rick “until 2023.”

News of potential changes to the former Nickelodeon star’s conservatory came after a shocking pregnancy announcement in March 2020, as well as reports that she was doing a second 30-day stint at a Pasadena mental institution.

It was a month after Bynes… concerned to Paul Michael, whom she met in 2019 in a former austere residence, and they are still planning to get married.

The SoCal native – who is no longer pregnant – made her hip hop debut on January 20 alongside a rapper called “Precise” with the minute-long song Diamonds, in which she only speaks for about 12 seconds.

Esquibias told People in April she lives on the beach and is still pursuing a degree at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising after receiving her associate’s degree there in 2019.
