Amanda Bynes was possibly living on the streets for ‘several days’ before walking naked through Los Angeles and ultimately rushing her into psychiatric care.
TMZ reports that the 36-year-old woman’s car was towed on March 15 in Long Beach, about 40 miles from her home and 25 miles from where she was seen in downtown Los Angeles.
From Long Beach, sources have revealed to the outlet that Bynes hitchhiked or took public transportation to get around before she was seen on March 18 and appeared to be “out of it” but still dressed.
A stranger reportedly took her to Beverly Hills, but then asked to return to Hollywood, according to the outlet.
The ‘She’s The Man’ star was first taken to hospital early Sunday morning and is said to be ‘on the mend’ but will likely be hospitalized for at least another week before being released.

It’s been a year since Bynes’ conservatorship ended and sources told TMZ that her parents “do not plan to regain conservatorship.”
Bynes was seen out on a night out in Hollywood on St. Patrick’s Day last Friday, less than two days before she was scheduled to be committed to a mental institution.
The troubled actress, 36, was hospitalized after she was seen walking near downtown Los Angeles early Sunday morning with no clothes on; she was later placed in a 5150 psychiatric hold.
DailyMail.com exclusively revealed a video showing Bynes wearing a black t-shirt with a bone design, paired with joggers and sneakers as she walked with a friend on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, March 17.
The actress was coherent while chatting with her friend on the night out.
The footage was taken less than two days before she was found wandering around naked and alone in the midst of a “psychotic episode” and hours before she canceled a public appearance scheduled for Saturday.
The star was also filmed and uploaded to a fan’s TikTok, the video captioned: “So happy she’s getting the help she needs.” She was sweet, gave him some money and talked. At some point, people (sic) just need to talk.
In the clip, the fan was heard saying: ‘I saw her walk and I had to say what’s up?’ as Amanda is heard saying, ‘What’s up?’
Bynes’ ex-fiancé, Paul Michael, claims that she had “come off her meds” before she was placed on psychiatric hold.
Paul, who has been in an on-off relationship with Amanda since they broke off their engagement last July before getting back together a month later, said page six: ‘She’s off her meds, and she’s still off her meds… She’s wild.’

Paul added that he and Amanda are now “friends”, after it was reported that they had been living together in Los Angeles.
Amanda previously accused Paul on her Instagram of not “taking his meds,” relapsing with “crack cocaine,” and watching “mother-son porn” before “kicking” him out of her house.
He added: ‘(Amanda) tried to kick me out, but I left to get my own place. I moved home and set boundaries.
Paul also insisted that Amanda “lied” about her previous drug and pornography accusations against him, claiming that she “shamed” him to “divert attention from her.”
He said: “She acted to embarrass me”, adding that Amanda “lied and cheated and had too many affairs the whole time” they were together.
Bynes and Michael got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2020, just a few months after staying at the same sobriety center.
On Sunday, Bynes is said to have waved a car down and told the driver that he was “relapsing of a psychotic episode” before calling 911.
Bynes was taken to a police station where a mental health team placed her in a 5150 psychiatric hold.
A 5150 is a CA Welfare and Institutions Code legal action. Allows a qualified officer or doctor to confine someone against her will for up to 72 hours, which can be extended. During this time, the person will be fully evaluated for their mental health status.
